MWO-OWWA ICT Training Program Batch 2 Kicks Off with Orientation at MWO Qatar

The second batch of the MWO-OWWA Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Training Program officially commenced with an orientation held on 23 January 2026 at the MWO Qatar Office, marking another significant step in strengthening the skills and employability of overseas Filipino workers.
The orientation program formally opened with an inspiring message from Mr. Paul G. Cabugao, Administrative Officer of MWO Qatar. In his address, he emphasized the importance of continuous learning, skills development, and the role of technical training in empowering Filipino workers to remain competitive in today’s rapidly evolving job market.
Participants were warmly welcomed by Ms. Luzviminda Tumaliuan, Welfare Officer of MWO Qatar, who expressed her support for the trainees and underscored the commitment of MWO and OWWA to provide meaningful programs that contribute to the professional growth and personal development of overseas Filipinos.
Building on the success of the first batch, Batch 2 of the ICT Training Program introduces additional specialized courses, including Electrical System (ELV) and Consumer Electronics. These new offerings are designed to broaden participants’ technical competencies and respond to the growing demand for skilled workers in the electrical and electronics sectors.
The training program is being implemented in partnership with FILTEQ Organization, which continues to play a vital role in delivering quality technical education and hands-on training to Filipino workers in Qatar.
With the launch of its second batch, the MWO-OWWA ICT Training Program reaffirms its commitment to equipping overseas Filipino workers with practical, industry-relevant skills—helping open doors to better career opportunities and long-term professional advancement.
